You state that the Justant, in which Barque William the Fourth is about to proceed on a trading voyage among the Islands of the Pacific, and that the master of that vessel has offered to convey the Three Survivors of the Five Colored men picked up at sea by the Transport Cornwall and supposed to be natives of the Pellew Islands, provided His Excellency the Governor in Council will permit him to do so.
In reply, I am directed to inform you that His Excellency is pleased to sanction the above proposal.

I am directed by His Excellency the Governor in Council, to transmit to you the Enclosed Bill No:178 drawn by Her Majesty's Plenipotentiary in China upon the Government of India for Col Rs. 2,065.15 - Two thousand and sixty-five Company's Rupees fifteen annas, being the amount of Postage collected in China, on letters received from and forwarded to Bombay from 1st August, 1843, to 31st January 1844, as per accompanying statement by Mr Spring in charge of the Post Office at this Place.
